Tragedy in Rajasthan: School Roof Collapse in Jhalawar Kills Three Students, Several Injured

A major tragedy struck Rajasthan’s Jhalawar district on Friday when the roof of Piplodi Primary School collapsed, claiming the lives of at least three students and injuring several others, officials confirmed.

Jhalawar Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar Budania stated, “Three to four students have died in the incident. Several others sustained injuries.” The exact toll is still being verified.

The district administration, including the District Collector and SP, rushed to the site to oversee rescue and relief operations.

Expressing sorrow over the incident, former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot posted on X (formerly Twitter): “Reports of a government school building collapse in Manoharthana, Jhalawar, are deeply saddening. There are casualties among children and teachers. I pray for the injured and hope for minimal loss of life.”

Authorities are currently conducting rescue operations, and further details are awaited.
